Punjab to identify villages having uranium-laced water
Chandigarh, July 5 (IANS) The Punjab government has decided to conduct a statewide survey to identify villages affected by the problem of uranium content in water, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said Tuesday
Talking to reporters at a meeting in Rajeana village in Moga district, Badal said the water supply and sanitation department was engaging the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre to identify an agency to conduct the survey
He said the Punjab government was installing reverse osmosis (RO) systems in all affected villages to provide potable water to residents
