Punjab to identify villages having uranium-laced water


  • Chandigarh, July 5 (IANS) The Punjab government has decided to conduct a statewide survey to identify villages affected by the problem of uranium content in water, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said Tuesday
  • Talking to reporters at a meeting in Rajeana village in Moga district, Badal said the water supply and sanitation department was engaging the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre to identify an agency to conduct the survey
  • He said the Punjab government was installing reverse osmosis (RO) systems in all affected villages to provide potable water to residents
