JKLF Protests Sham Polls in PCK

  • Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) held a protest in front of Pakistan High Commission in London against the recently concluded elections in Pakistan Administered Kashmir which it termed as farcical
  • Kashmiris from towns like Luton, Sheffield, Slough, Bedford, and Nottingham joined the protest, a JKLF statement said
  • A petition was also handed over to the officials of Pakistan High Commission condemning the involvement of Pakistani political parties in the disputed region
  • As in London today, the JKLF is  holding rallies and vigils across AJK and in other parts of the world to express Kashmiris’ rejection of the 1974 Act, and the undemocratic and unrepresentative structures of governance that have  developed   under this constitution
  • A copy of petition addressed to Pak HC and sent to Kashmir Observer is reproduced below
